Animal Rights

Animal rights means that animals deserve certain kinds of consideration—consideration of what is in their best interests, regardless of whether they are “cute,” useful to humans, or an endangered species and regardless of whether any human cares about them at all.
Animal welfare:
Animal welfare is important because there are so many animals around the world suffering from being used for entertainment, food, medicine, fashion, scientific advancement, and as exotic pets. Every animal deserves to have a good life where they enjoy the benefits of the Five Domains.
Killingworth:
It is estimated that each year 77 billion land animals are slaughtered for food.
Animal rights teach us that certain things are wrong as a matter of principle, that there are some things that it is morally wrong to do to animals. Human beings must not do those things, no matter what the cost to humanity of not doing them. ... Accepting the doctrine of animal rights means: No experiments on animals.
The extreme position is that animals can be treated in any way that humans want to treat them. The less extreme position is that animals can be treated in any way that is not morally bad for human beings. For example, some people believe that it is wrong to be cruel to animals because it is wrong to be cruel.
According to In Defense of Animals, up to 5,000 zoo animals are killed each year — mind you, only in Europe. What's even more worrisome is that the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums recommends killing animals in some situations, even if they are perfectly healthy.
Violation of Animal Rights :
animals' rights are violated when they are used in research because they are not given a choice. Animals are subjected to tests that are often painful or cause permanent damage or death, and they are never given the option of not participating in the experiment.
Acts of violence or neglect perpetrated against animals are considered animal cruelty. Examples include overt animal abuse, dog and cock fighting and companion animal neglect where the animal is denied basic necessities of care such as fresh water and food or shelter.
Animal death causes:
We know that every year 10 million animals die from abuse. We also know that 100 million animals are used for lab experiments. However, not all abuse cases are reported, so we can safely say that more than 100 million animals suffer abuse every year.
Rights:
Be a responsible pet owner. ...
Be an example of kindness to other pets. ...
Intervene if you witness animal cruelty, abuse or neglect. ...
Report animal cruelty, abuse or neglect. ...
Teach your children to have respect for animals. ...
Demand stricter laws for the protection of animals.

No breeding and killing animals for food or clothes or medicine.
No use of animals for hard labour.
No selective breeding for any reason other than the benefit of the animal.
No hunting.
No zoos or use of animals in entertainment.
Here are six things you can do as a person who has a soft spot for pets to stop animal cruelty.
Adopt a Pet. ...
Proper Care for Your Pet. ...
Donate to Rescue Groups. ...
Teach Compassion for Animals to Kids. ...
Purchase Humane Animal Products. ...

Final Word.
Violence against animals has been linked to a higher likelihood of criminal violence and domestic abuse. ... This will help reduce number of homeless pets and animals in shelters, which will lead to less animals euthanized each year.
