Short Height People

A person with short stature, or restricted growth, does not grow as tall as other people of the same gender, age, and ethnicity. The person’s height is below the 3rd percentile.   “Morality demands we support little people more because they have fought social stigmas and faced more challenges than a person with an average height.”   Here is the picture of some short height people.

Here are some common causes of short height: Family history. For example, short parents often have short children. Growth delay Illnesses that affect the whole body. Poor nutrition Hormone diseases, such as lack of thyroid or growth hormones Medicine side effect. Today's society is radically differently from the societies of the hunter-gatherer era. But height continues to have a small but measurable impact on how others view us, particularly for men. "Taller men are perceived as having higher status, stronger leadership skills, and as being more occupationally successful than average or shorter males," Jackson wrote in an email interview. Men of average or shorter height also suffer in the realm of socisocial attractiveness, which includes personal adjustment, athletic orientation, and masculinity. Her caveat: "What NONE of these studies establish is that it is HEIGHT per se that is responsible for these benefits or characteristics associated with height (strong leadership skills, self-confidence, professional development)." Although the evidence that such stereotypes affect women is "weaker," she said, short females, too, are perceived less favorably in the occupational realm, she writes, adding, "The 4'8" manager may need to work harder to be taken seriously." Here are some key points about short stature. Short stature can happen for a wide range of reasons, including having small parents, malnutrition, and genetic conditions such as achondroplasia. Proportionate short stature (PSS) is when the person is small, but all the parts are in the usual proportions. In disproportionate short stature (DSS), the limbs may be small compared with the trunk. If short stature results from a growth hormone (GH) deficiency, GH treatment can often boost growth. Some people may experience long-term medical complications, but intelligence is not usually affected. Sometimes, an injury to the head during childhood can lead to reduced growth. A lack of growth hormone can also lead to delayed or absent sexual development. Rheumatologic diseases, such as arthritis, are linked to short stature. This may happen because of the disease, or as a result of the glucocorticoid treatment, which can affect the release of growth hormone.  Types There are different types and causes of short stature, or restricted growth, and they will present differently. Because the range of conditions is so broad, restricted growth can be classified in various ways. One categorization is: 1. Variant restricted growth 2. Proportionate short stature (PSS) 3. Disproportionate short stature (DSS) Diagnosis Some types of short stature can be diagnosed at birth. In other cases, routine visits to a pediatrician should reveal any abnormal growth pattern. The doctor will record the child’s head circumference, height, and weight. If the doctor suspects restricted growth, they will carry out a physical examination, look at the child’s medical and family history, and possibly carry out some tests. These may include: An X-ray to assess for problems with bone development. Research   According to a Gilani’s Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the height of most Pakistani men (78%) is between 5 to 6 feet, the remaining 19% are taller (7%) or shorter(12%) than the mainstream. The growth is not only dependent on genetic but hormones equally plays important role in body`s growth. b. Your growth potential reduces especially after puberty because your pituitary gland becomes inactive. Homoeopathic medicine stimulates the pituitary gland to increased production of natural level of growth hormones, which causes growth of the cartilaginous portions of the vertebrae and the long bones.

 1. Cartilages Growth Al though most of your bones can`t grow any longer after puberty, the articular cartilages that connect many bones can still grow thicker. Besides the distal potion on each vertebrae, the distal end of Femur and the proximal end of Tibia each can grow up to an inch, which gives another 2 inches extra height.

 2. Spinal Column Extension.

Short height people faces too much criticism, bulling and lost of dignity at public places. We should give them respect.
